What was the highlight of Solymar Naama Bay

Very nice

The hotel is really nice, small but with everything you can desire. The room had an incredible sea view, with an amazing terrace. The pool was really nice but the beach was better, really easy to reach with the free bus.

The wifi is not working around and in the room, only in the reception and in the terrace bar, it was not that bad, it gives you the perfect time off to spend with who you love!

It was a good stay I love it they upgraded our room for free as well but the cleanness needs a lot of improvement

The staff are so good and helpful, location also is good

The cleanness is not good at all, especially in the restaurant toilet, the buffet can be better, it doesn't have many options

Overall good experience and excellent value for money!

The team were the highlight of this hotel, they couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome and looked after - they work so hard! We were upgraded to a larger room with a nice sized balcony. We had a great experience with the tailor based in the hotel - would recommend visiting!

The cleanliness of the room was a bit lacking, there was broken glass on the floor which wasn't cleaned. The fridge & TV weren't working. We weren't bothered enough to tell reception but I know they would have replaced them had we have informed them during the stay. The wi-fi situation isn't great and should definitely be upgraded for a better experience. As you will read from other reviews, the rooms are dated but the property grounds are beautiful and so well looked after.

The staff was nice they gave us a free room upgrade. The food was good especially dinner.

I don’t think it‘s supposed to be 4 stars, I would give it 3 at most tbh. The rooms aren’t well equipped, there was no kettle, the fridge was old as well as the furniture. The lighting inside the room is horrible you could barely see at night. The air conditioner barely works and keeps leaking water. The shower area in the bathroom is tiny I kept bumping my elbows in the wall every time I moved. There‘s minimal amenities, just a soap and a shampoo dispenser. The balcony door keeps opening because the look is worn out. The outdoor area in the restaurant is just so hot we couldn’t sit there for more than 5 minutes without sweating buckets. it needed a couple of those outdoor air conditioning units especially in july and august. The hotel is SO far from everything. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to Naama Bay which is doable if the weather was nicer, but in summer you have to take a taxi or take the shuttle bus from the hotel but they charge you about 2 USD per person (both options are crazy expensive considering the short distance.) there‘s nothing around the hotel, you have to walk at least 15 minutes to get to the nearest supermarket. They have a mini market inside the hotel but everything is overpriced ( a small water bottle for 30 EGP).

not worth the price, I would pay way less ..

the room and bed was so big and cosy and concept of the hotel is so lovely and so greenery. The pool was not small and so clean. The dinner was quite delicious and chef was so smiling.

The check in was long and the employee was even not smiling like forcefully working there. Ridicilously there was no wifi in the room. And the hotel is 4 stars but there was not a hairdryer in the bathroom and not even a slippery in the room .

Although we only had one meal, but foid was very nice and delicious Staff are very friendly

The room is clean, animation team is freindly and nice, food is good some times very good, good relaxation massage center, overall it's not bad and a good value for money spent

Amazing food and very friendly staff

The staff is the most welcoming I've ever experienced, specially Emad and Khayrat from the restaurant, as well as Chef Emad. Our house keeping (Bakr) was polite and helpful. Even the gardeners were smiling to us all the time. The quality of food is excellent, specially the meat and pasta dishes.

Room facilities are limited, no hair dryer, no boiler.

Perfect. Wish I were still there instead of Cairo.

I liked everything, staff, hotel, my room with comfortable bed and the beautiful grounds.Spectacular breakfast buffet.Without hesitation I recommend Sol y Mar Naama Bay.

WE HATED IT!

The pool, some of the staff, the breakfast in restaurant

The tv table had dust on it Some of the staff was extremely rude and unprofessional The reception keep on bugging u via phone The DND sign means nothing to the housekeeping staff If u are on a B&B plan, u can not asl for ur breakfast in room and pay cover only, u have to pay for the whole thing again (smart hotel finance team making profits by overcharging their guests) The in room breakfast that costs 128 le/person by the way is very poor and if u ask for fried eggs u get omlettes, of u ask for corn flakes u get it with out milk???? They know better! The gym pool activities which last for at least 4 hours a day are incredibly noisy, stupid and irritating. U can not get some rest in ur room after 10 am as they start their pool DJ and animation team do their best to be loud and noisy. (Even though we asked for a quiet room) Thanks Sol Y Mar team, never again!
